A wee boat of hope
This latest addition to my art collection may be modest in size, but its significance is monumental. It marks the completion of a transformative journey, one that was shaped by unexpected twists and turns. When the BBC approached me for a documentary on my life with ADHD, I saw it as a tremendous opportunity. The prospect of being interviewed by Chris Packham was a honor, a chance that only a select few out of thousands are granted, the producers decided to go with another story which is still great and I was humbled just to be considered. However, the experience unearthed emotions and challenges I had long kept buried, leaving me feeling vulnerable.
In those moments of turmoil, my team at jagart82 hq stood by me not just as colleagues but as a true family. Their unwavering support helped me navigate through the storm. The symbolism of the boat in my art speaks to the power of connection and communication; how just two individuals coming together can spark meaningful dialogue and understanding. The image of the wave pushing the vibrant blocks away represents societal barriers and misconceptions that often engulf neurodivergent individuals.
Yet, from this unity, from these small beginnings, a ripple effect emerges. I am profoundly grateful to my jagart82 family and to everyone who joins us on this profound journey. To those who are finding their voice or embarking on a new path, I urge you to persevere. The future, shaped by your courage and authenticity, relies on your steadfastness.
